French 75 Punch
Effortlessly elegant and endlessly refreshing, this French 75 Punch is your go-to drink for entertaining with style and ease. A sparkling blend of botanical gin, bright lemon juice, and just the right touch of sweetness, it’s topped off with bubbly Prosecco or Champagne for a celebratory twist, ideal for brunches, garden parties, or any occasion that calls for a toast.
Ingredients:
2 cups gin
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
3/4 cup simple syrup (1:1 sugar to water)
Dash of orange bitters
1 bottle (750 ml) chilled Prosecco or Champagne
Ice (If using a punch bowl, make a decorative ice block using oranges and lemons)
Lemon wheels or twists, for garnish
Instructions:
Chill a large pitcher ahead of time if possible.
Make the base:
In the pitcher, combine the gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and a dash of orange bitters. Stir well to mix. Tip: This can be made ahead of time to ensure an extra chilled drink.
Add the bubbles:
Fill individual champagne flutes or glasses with the cocktail mixture and top with Prosecco or Champagne.
If serving in a punch format slowly pour in the chilled Prosecco or Champagne over the base and decorative ice. Stir gently to combine, preserving the fizz.
Serve:
Garnish each glass with a lemon wheel or twist.
Makes 6-8 cocktails or 7 ½ cups (without ice)
