Simple Fruit Salad

This fruit salad is a refreshing twist on a classic — a mix of juicy, colorful fruit brought to life with a zesty lime dressing and just a splash of Tabasco for a subtle kick of heat. It’s bright, unexpected, and the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy in every bite.

Ingredients:

  • 1 orange, supremed (for instructions on how to supreme an orange, check out this clip on my YouTube channel!)

  • 1 cup of strawberries, quartered

  • 1 pint of blueberries

  • 1 pint of raspberries

  • 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil or vegetable oil

  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice

  • 2 dashes of Tabasco (or your favorite hot sauce)

  • 2 teaspoons of sugar

  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper

  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Combine the prepared fruit in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Using a simple mason jar, add the oil, lime juice, Tabasco, sugar, and salt and pepper.

  3. Place the lid on the jar and shake the contents vigorously.

  4. Pour the dressing over the fruit, being sure to not over-dress the salad.

  5. Gently stir the dressing into the fruit until it is fully coated, glossy, and shiny.

  6. Serve and enjoy!

Light, vibrant, and full of flavor, this fruit salad is proof that a touch of spice can make something sweet even more exciting. Serve it chilled for a refreshing side or a standout addition to any summer table. Happy hosting!
